Grizzly 20 Inch Heavy-Duty Disc Sander - G0775

 

Once the 20" cast-iron disc gets spinning, this sander means serious business! Featuring a powerful 2 HP motor with a built-in brake for quickly stopping the sanding disc, and a huge cast-iron table with two-axis miter gauge support and 0 - 45 degree tilt, this machine is ideal for efficiently sanding many types of projects and workpiece materials. For convenience, we added a pedestal-mounted magnetic switch and a large cabinet for storing replacement sanding discs.

 

Our sander is made specially for metal workers and is designed to give you versatility and performance. It uses 79" long sanding belts that resist heating up even with a surface speed of 3900 FPM. The sanding head tilts from 0°–30° to suit the job at hand. Sand against the rubber contact wheel using the supplied work rest or sand flat surfaces against the 3" x 20-1/2" graphite-backed platen. Covers are supplied with the machine to expose only the part of the sander you want to use. The spark trap picks up the grindings at one end of the machine and the other end is supplied with a 4" part so you can connect your approved collection device.

Built to the scale and level of quality professional woodworkers demand, this heavy-duty sander features a 6" x 48" sanding belt that operates horizontally, vertically or at any angle in between. Both tables tilt for any job. The convenient, quick-release lever makes belt changes and tension adjustment a snap. Belt rollers have shielded ball bearings and the top roller has a fine-tuning knob for precision tracking. We recommend Model G1276 for wood. Base accepts 5/8" fasteners for mounting to workbench.

This is the same great combination sander as the G1014Z, but with a solid cabinet stand for rock-steady performance. A built-in storage shelf also holds plenty of replacement belts and discs.

Although we call this a "Knife Belt Sander," it actually does much more than grind and sharpen knives; it has many different woodworking uses. Auxiliary arbor accepts buffing wheels, sanding drums or flap wheels. Belt can be changed in seconds with quick-release mechanism. Belt arm can be fully tilted. Without a doubt, this is the best knife belt sander around!
