Letter Forming Brake
This unique small bending brake, with its slotted jaws and apron, provides means for speed and economy in a number of awkward metalworking operations. It is specially designed for bending up sheet metal strips on which one or more bent-up edges or seams have already been formed. A typical example is the forming of "drum return" used on metal sign letters.
The upper jaw is in the form an open box, to provide adequate stiffness to remove sufficient superstructure so that the strip undergoing a series of folds can be laid back closely over the top of the machine. The Brake can be moved easily around a shop to the most convenient position for any job, and is also light enough to be trucked out to an installation location if desired.
